Hi! My name is Dag Halvorsen.

I'm a passionate arctic nature photographer living in Norway.

I am also passionate about event photography, like weddings, concerts, shows. Much of my time also involves video shooting and editing. I have 20 years of experience with video editing, and I have been doing still photography for over 45 years.
I started shooting with my analog Canon AE-1 when I was 15 years old, and my main interest was nature and wildlife. That is still my main occupation, in my spare time.
Professionally, I am self employed and work with renewable energy systems.

Fact 1

I was born and raised in Sarpsborg, south of Norway. I have travelled alot in Europe, and a few times in the US. Travelling and exploring new places have been the preferred activity all my life.

Fact 2

I prefer arctic nature and wildlife, so most of my nature photography is from Norway, Sweden and Finland. One of my favourite destinations is Dovrefjell, where the norwegian musk oxen live.

Fact 3

Loving arctic nature photography, one naturally have a great love for the stunning archipelago of Svalbard. I have spent a few months on Spitsbergen, over the past 10 years, photographing the arctic fox, polar bears, rein deer, ptarmigans and marine mammals.

Fact 4

Besides nature photography, shooting and editing video has a special place in my heart. I've done several wedding projects, where the client receives a fully edited, full documentary video of the wedding, from morning to late night. It's always so enjoyable to attend and document weddings!
